LA PERLA - COSTA MESA LIVE ILLUSTRATION EVENT
I was over the moon when I read the email - I'd been confirmed to illustrate at La Perla's upcoming VIP event in Costa Mesa! This high-end, legendary lingerie brand had been on the very top of my list of clients I had dreamt to work with ever since I started illustrating, so imagine my delight! For the special occasion the wonderful team at La Perla took care of absolutely everything - I was thrilled! Not only did they fly me all the way from NYC to sunny Los Angeles, arrange for a town car to pick me up at LAX, but also booked a luxury suite at the wonderful Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel, right around the corner from the venue where the event was to take place.
I arrived to LAX bright eyed and bushy tailed on the night on the 23rd, which let me a full morning and afternoon to explore wonderful Costa Mesa. I wondered around hipster-conscious The Lab: Anti-Mall, before heading out to the beach in palm tree-clad Newport Beach. Then at 5pm, I was off to luxurious South Coast Plaza, where I reunited with the La Perla team, and their selection of VIP guests, carefully selected for the event.
In preparation of the night in question, we decided to pre-print the brand's logo in beautiful gilded letters on each and every one of the sheets on which I was to then illustrated the event's cherished guests. The 2-hour event flew bye in a haze of illustrations, champagne bubbles and lively conversation - a total success!!!
However, the team wasn't done with me yet! When I returned from my next adventure (to take place in Beverly Hills - stay tuned!), I was absolutely delighted to find the most gorgeously presented gift, which had been hand-delivered to my buildings doorman. Everything from the scrumptious bag, to the elegant packaging screamed - elegance! The one-of-kind lace undergarments (in both red and black!), exquisite - to say the least! And to top it all of, a wonderful word of appreciation, handwritten by the La Perla team.
