BIOGRAPHY
Mats Meyer is an international fashion illustrator and visual content consultant, formerly based in New York City (she now resides in her hometown of Antwerp). Born in Belgium, raised in Spain, Mats brings European refinement and NYC sophistication to her artistic oeuvre. With a background in intellectual property law, she has successfully translated her business and legal savvy onto the realms of creative development through illustration, branding, and visual content creation. As a creative consultant, Mats has helped launch international campaigns and events for fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands (clients include Cartier, Apple, Chanel and Armani, among others), by assisting them refine their brand identity through visual design and social media implementation.
Mats’ creative endeavors have been published by international fashion publications, including Vogue, InStyle, The Huffington Post, Refinery29, WhoWhatWear, and Fashionista.com. Not only is Mats a regular at different fashion weeks around the globe, but as part of her experience in entertainment journalism and content creation, she has interviewed Hollywood’s A-list celebrities, including Jodie Foster, Mariah Carey, and America’s President and First Lady, Donald and Melania Trump.
Mats has also been a guest lecturer at the prestigious Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, and is the current Artist in Residence for The Ritz-Carlton, Central Park.
